It is not self-help. It is alchemy.

Helping yourself is about locking into the raw and bold truth of who you are and aligning it within everything you do and are.

The truth of who you are doesn’t come from how you show up or what you do.  It is what can only be described as your Self.  And when you align to your Self, your outsides rearrange themselves instantly and the world changes around you.

Being in your Self doesn’t feel like the other kind of being.  You know when you are in your Self because from that place, you are an impartial observer of you and of things around you.  Your Self knows its connection to and inclusion in everything and everyone.  Your Self has no goal or destination.  Your Self is clear.  It is familiar.  It knows what to do.  Your Self is free.  Your Self is effortless, compassionate, and pragmatic.

This is a practice, not a poem

This definition of Self is not conceptual or abstract.  It is not a metaphor or encouragement.  It is a literal and real alignment to a place we all have, can move in and out of, and can always be returned to.

Your Self can play with external life however it is moved to.  It drives adventures, failures, changes, puppet shows, summits of Everest, anything you want to experience.  And just as easily, your Self releases them  when you are ready to.  It witnesses the suffering and joy of life.  It allows you to appreciate and experience them and gives you the path to transcend them when you need to.

From your Self, the world around you becomes liquid and reality stays malleable.  Through aligning to the Self you empower yourself to reconfigure reality into truth.

By contrast, self-help tries to move a whole world using a tiny handle.  Self-help is effortful.  Self-help is foreign.  Self-help is small.  Self-help scratches the surface.  Self-help is transient, human, disconnected, and modular.

Self-help is a distraction from the alchemy of Self.
